We have a career opportunity at Associate / Senior Associate level for a Water Services MEICA Lead.

As Associate / Senior Associate, you will contribute as a key member of our water services management team across our offices in Dublin, Cork and Galway. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the water services team, assisting in the delivery and management of projects for key public and private clients in Ireland. As MEICA lead, you will be responsible for leading and directly managing the MEICA team and have overall responsibility for MEICA delivery of water services projects.

The ideal Candidate

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, Degree qualified (Level 8) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design, procurement, construction management and commissioning of water and wastewater projects within the water services industry
• Chartered status or equivalent with management experience
• Significant experience in consultancy services delivery and contract management
• Proven project management capability and experience
• Business unit / team leadership experience
• Ability to identify business opportunities, lead tender bids and deliver projects
• Strong track record in service delivery
• Technical excellence
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Highly motivated

Your Role

• Lead, manage and develop a MEICA team across the business
• Manage project budgets and meet agreed targets
• Develop and maintain good relationships with clients
• Implement best practices and comply with all internal systems
• Provide leadership in setting and implementing design (technical) and quality compliance
• Build and maintain personal, unit and team skills, and
• Develop new business

Key Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• An in-depth knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems, SCADA, telemetry and plant control, pump station and pumping system design and process/energy optimisation
• Knowledge of design codes, specifications, legislation and best practices
• A thorough understanding of professional appointments, contractual arrangements, procurement and project management
• Excellent people management skills including management of costs, time and WIP
• Understanding of budgets, profit and loss accounts, and management accounts
• Be capable leading a wider engineering/scientific team
• Excellent communications skills
• Good computer skills
• Experience in project management, contract administration, supervision and monitoring

The Location:

The successful applicant will have a choice of being based full-time in one of our offices in Dublin, Cork or Galway. Applicants should indicate in their application their preferred office location.
